"The primary influence on my work is Arturo Chavez\, prot g of Wilson Hurley\, noted for his large scale western landscapes\," Parsons said. "My goal is to get the 'non-art' person to do a double-take to stop for a longer look. If a viewer has an emotional response\, or they feel like they are at the location depicted that would be success."
