Description
The Esperanza Peace & Justice Center will be celebrating Dia de los Muertos on Friday, November 1st, 2013 from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rinconcito de Esperanza (816 S. Colorado St., San Antonio, TX). There will be satirical calavera readings about political favorites such as Wendy Davis, George Zimmerman and more. Community altars are set up for public viewing. Live performances by Las Tesoros, Mariachi Durango, Calacas San Anto, Urban 15 y mas! Guests will be treated to hot chocolate and pan de los muertos (sweet bread). MujerArtes Clay Cooperative will be selling unique artwork for use on your own altar. Celebrate the Day of the Dead with us!
