Birders will count our feathered friends, simultaneously and internationally. Thomas Collins leads the Riverside Birding Blast team in Kerrville. He invites young and old to join in--"at least at noon for a group photograph"--as the team vies for bragging rights with Fredericksburg's and Boerne's nature centers. No experience, nor binoculars required. Bring the kids!
Also, please make a pledge for number of species ID'd. Anything from a dime on up. (Collins thinks they’ll find 50 species.) One of the RNC members pledged in her dogs’ names. Listen up, cat lovers. Show those dogs how the cat eats the catnip, for Pete's sake! Let's get a real Cat/Dog Race going here. Those pledge will go for the construction of a wildlife habitat within the new wildscape at RNC.
