Join us in the theatre for this FREE documentary premiere by local videographer Alyson Amestoy in celebration of Black History Month.
A collection of Doyle voices come together in a series of interviews about their childhood, the community, and, most importantly, the school. The Doyle School was for Black children at a time of segregation in Kerrville, Texas. But for these voices, the Doyle School was the center of the community, and the teachers were an essential part of the community. The stories will make you laugh, cry, and, most importantly, see a beautiful community that is still present today.
Prior to the film, enjoy live music by Konrad Wert, Clifton Fifer, Kiah Middleton, and more!
Seating is first come, first served.
The Voices of Doyle project is made possible by Big Seed, with additional support from H-E-B and Arcadia Live! and the Doyle Community Center.
