Symposium open with remarks by Mary Ellen Summerlin and Tara Bushnoe on the importance of water conservation. Next, experts lead discussions: Barry Wall, rainwater harvesting; George Cates, native grasses; Zach Derese, drip systems in lieu of sprinklers; Julie Clay, landscaping with native plants; John Quinby, use of mulch and rocks in landscape beds.
