High School Athletic Coaches

Known as OLH, Our Lady of the Hills Catholic High School is a private college preparatory high school located on 80 acres in the beautiful Texas Hill Country on the outskirts of Kerrville. Total enrollment for grades 9-12 is approximately 85 students. OLH is accredited through the Archdiocese of San Antonio, the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops - Education Department (TCCB-ED), and AdvanED. Since 2007, 100% of our graduates have been accepted to a four-year university.
 
With a student body composed of varied ethnic, religious, and financial backgrounds, the school reflects the diverse population of the Texas Hill Country. The curriculum and extra-curricular activities are rooted in the traditions of the Jesuit and Dominican religious orders. Students attend regular classes Monday-Thursday with Fridays reserved for Independent Study and Enrichment.
 
Our Lady of the Hills Catholic High School is looking for several highly qualified coaches for the following sports: 
 
Assistant Football Coach/Defensive Coordinator
Assistant Volleyball Coach
Head Cross Country Coach
Head Baseball Coach
 
QUALIFICATIONS:  
1. Preferred practicing Catholic in good standing 
2. Supportive of the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church
3. Two years of coaching experience in the sport preferred
4. Possess a valid CDL and have experience driving buses preferred
5. CPR and AED Certified
6. Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, and other faculty members
7. Ability to effectively communicate with the Athletic Director, parents and students as to practice times/requirements and details of games/events
8. Ability to coach in a positive manner and always treat athletes with dignity and respect
9. Ability to follow all TAPPS rules 
10. Ability to always demonstrate good sportsmanship and teach sportsmanship to athletes 
 
JOB SUMMARY:      
These positions are seasonal and part-time for the duration of the pre-season practices and competition season. These positions require late afternoon practices, generally 4:16-6:15, and coaches be present for all games/events. Many games/events will be out of town and require the coach to travel with the team. All coaches are supervised by the Athletic Director in coordination with the Principal. Salary varies with the position.
 
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
·         Be a U.S. Citizen or have the legal right to work in the United States.
·         Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License with driving record meeting insurance requirements.
·         Successfully complete a background check and all required Human Resource trainings (Protecting God’s Children, Prevention of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, Blood Borne Pathogens, Archdiocese of San Antonio Code of Conduct)
·         Successfully complete all required TAPPS trainings (Scope Training, TAPPS Acknowledgement of Rules and NFHS Coaching Training)
·         Meet federal, state, and local requirements.
