The Salvation Army and Walmart Partner to Bring Joy and Hope to Families in Need
Kerrville, Texas (November 24, 2025) – The Salvation Army and Walmart are once again partnering to bring holiday cheer and hope to families in need across Kerrville. Through in-store and online giving opportunities, customers can make a meaningful difference for children and families this Christmas season.
Holiday Engagement Opportunities

  • Red Kettle Campaign | November 15 – December 24
The Salvation Army’s iconic red kettles return to Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs nationwide. Shoppers can donate cash or give digitally to support programs providing food, shelter and hope year-round.
  • Angel Tree | October 14 – December 19
Customers can select an Angel Tree tag at participating Walmart stores to purchase gifts for a local child in need—or visit Walmart.com/AngelTree to give online (November 15 - December 19). The Salvation Army in Kerrville will distribute gifts to 400 children, ensuring every child experiences the joy of Christmas morning.
  • Holiday Meal Donation | October 21 – December 24
Online shoppers can add a $5, $15 or $25 donation at checkout on Walmart.com to help support efforts to provide meals for families in need.
  • Online Round-Up | December 2 – December 24
From December 1–24, Walmart shoppers can round up their online or in-app purchase total to the nearest dollar, with every cent supporting The Salvation Army’s local programs through the Red Kettle Campaign.
New this year, Walmart will match customer giving through two special opportunities:
  • One-Click Donation Match: Up to $500,000 in matching through December 24.
  • Online Round-Up Match: Up to $1 million in matching funds from December 2–24.
These matching initiatives allow shoppers to double their impact and help even more families this holiday season.
