Description
Texas 4000 is a student-led, non-profit organization and is affiliated with The University of Texas at Austin. They send a cycling team of students, who train for a year and a half, to bike from Austin to Alaska, over 4500 miles to raise money for cancer and spread knowledge and hope to cancer patients and the community. This is the world's longest charitable ride. All of the proceeds go to MD Anderson for cancer research.
Each year, Texas 4000 has an event called the Atlas ride. Anyone can register for the event, and it is a great way for the community to get involved with Texas 4000 and help spread the fight against cancer. The Atlas ride is a time where the community can join the Texas 4000 team and ride with them on their day of their journey.
There are three routes to choose from: a 25, 50 and 75 mile route. At the end of the day there is a large celebration with wine, BBQ and more! Please come out and join us.
