Accounting Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and strong customer account management. Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:45 PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
ACCOUNTING DUTIES:
- Generate and issue accurate invoices based on production, shipping, and sales data
- Receive, verify, and post customer payments in a timely manner
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
- Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding billing issues, payment status, and account inquiries
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing or delivery discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and organized AR records and documentation
- Assist with credit checks and customer account setup
- Interact with vendors and department managers to resolve account discrepancies
- Review purchase orders, check requests, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Research and resolve problem invoices in coordination with vendors and internal teams
- Ensure alignment between ERP system data and accounting records
- Assist with month-end close processes, including AR reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management review
- Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies
- Assist with audits by providing requested documentation
- Daily filing of invoices.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections preferred
- Manufacturing environment experience is a plus
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficient in basic Microsoft applications
- Good oral & written communication skills, organized, multi-tasking and detail oriented

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, letters, invoices, bill of lading, and any other document required in the Order Entry department. Ability to write letters, memos and other correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
