News Release: 1/7/2025
Hill Country Charity Ball Association, Inc. will host its 38th annual ball—Safari Soiree, First Class to Africa—on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Hill Country Youth Event Center. This evening’s theme will bring the African Safari to life and invites attendees to enjoy this year’s celebration of Hill Country Charity Ball’s philanthropic endeavors. Hill Country Charity Ball is excited with the selection of Disabled Outdoorsman USA (DOUSA) as its 2024-2025 ball beneficiary.
“We are so excited to announce this year’s deserving beneficiary—an organization that has never been the recipient before!” said Tammye Riley, Hill Country Charity Ball co-president and underwriting co-chair. Funds raised will be crucial in procuring accessible transportation and equipment, ensuring that disabled individuals can fully engage in the outdoor adventures and find respite from daily challenges. Weston Jenkins, Executive Director DOUSA, wants his organization to be as inclusive as possible, whether it be an amputee or a person with down-syndrome, he wants to help people make the impossible possible. With that the HCCBA board members went to work on deciding the event’s theme. After hours of deliberation, Safari Soiree, First Class to Africa was selected. The HCCBA board is anticipating a night of wild fun and adventure for attendees. Over the next 6 months, we will provide sneak peaks and teaser of what our event will unfold to on May 17, 2025.
