Make Plans to Attend First-Ever “Bark in the Park” event on Sept. 12
KERRVILLE, Texas (Aug. 12, 2026) – The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Kerrville Pets Alive!, invites pet owners, animal lovers, and families to Bark in the Park on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Sample Park, 3605 Loop 534.
Bark in the Park is a free community event that celebrates pets and strengthens our community by connecting residents with local resources that promote animal health, welfare, and responsible ownership. Visitors can meet adoptable dogs from rescue organizations, learn about the adoption process, and discover how they can get involved. If you're considering adding a new furry member to your family, Bark in the Park offers a welcoming environment to meet rescues and find a potential new companion.
Businesses, nonprofits, rescue organizations, and pet-related services that want to participate are encouraged to email recreation@kerrvilletx.gov for more details.
